Beth Mathes was born and has lived in Indiana
most of her life. She developed a love for art
expression and the outdoors at an early age -
captivated by cloud formations, shapes, color,
movement, lighting, and dramatic sunrises
and sunsets. Encouraged by family, friends and
teachers to pursue a career in art, she received
an undergraduate degree in 1976. Beth holds
a Master’s Degree in Design and has taught
design and color theory at the University level.
She has thirty years of experience as a designer,
creative director and consultant. In 1985 Beth
moved her design services under the umbrella
of Rhakos Design developing identities and
producing promotional materials for large and
small companies throughout the country…
assisting them to fulfill their mission statements.
As the digital world was emerging, she realized
that face-to-face relationships were becoming
far and few…and, that faster paced days allowed
‘little’ meaningful dialog at home, while at work
or among friends and family.
“We can become quite self-absorbed
and not even realize it.” Beth Mathes
Though reared in a Christian home and having
a salvation ‘experience’ at a youth camp, Beth
didn’t choose to live a Christ-centered life until
in her late twenties.
“I did not understand that I could live a
joy filled and purposeful life that I now call
Experiencing The Rescue®.” Beth Mathes
In the mid 90s, while continuing to service
an established clientele, Beth had a personal
desire to create effective communication pieces
that would beckon people to move onward and
upward. She began this conceptual process
with greeting card designs attempting to create
art with a message that would stir hearts,
compel reconciliation and relationship building
person to person and person to Creator.
“We all need to feel significant… that
we matter. Connecting with one-another
in real and non-pretentious ways
greatly affects our daily lives.” Beth Mathes
A book, entitled The Path by Laurie Beth Jones,
set her on course to write out her life’s mission and vision statements in the spring of 2001.

“I will Experience The Rescue for the rest
of my life…while thoughtfully, purposefully,
tangibly and creatively introducing and
advancing it to others.”

“I am fit for what I’ve been called to do.
My good ideas and acts of faith are filled
with divine energy so that it all amounts
to something.”
“The clarity this ‘exercise’ brought me is
almost indescribable.” Beth Mathes
In 2004, renowned Australian photographer
Ken Duncan encouraged her to bring the art up
in size…to think ‘big’ and allow people to more
easily engage with and see the dynamic
expression within each piece.
By far her most rewarding work is capturing the
heart of God through expressive art with a
message. Beth’s passion is to help people
connect with one another and with God in real
and unpretentious ways.
Her most current work is the RockWater
Collection, inspired by her travels to Israel.
Beth warmly invites you to
Experience The Rescue with her…
